My name is Dimitar Karamfilov.
I am from Sofia, Bulgaria, and this is my second album “TURN TO LOVE ”.

It’s a trio record with two of the very best jazz musicians Bulgaria has to offer.

Since the beginning of 2020 when the first lockdown came into effect, I began at the piano every day, and in a short period I wrote eight brand new songs.

The whole album is a sort of a tribute inspired by the Great Feeling of Love.

The Beautiful Sun rises and takes care of us all day.
After sunset it leaves us at the caress of the Mysterious Moon and the wondrous stars.

When you make the conscious choice to love, you stop asking yourself, "What is the meaning of life?".

...Joy and Happiness are synonyms of Love...

...Realising the great responsibility to those who love you unconditionally and spreading Love...

I aimed to deliver such kind of vibe trough music, especially in this strange times.
Of course all the songs have a different mood, but the whole album is influenced and true to this very concept.



When I had to make a choice whom to record with,
I had no doubt that I want Antoni Donchev on the piano and Vassil Voutev on drums.
The two have never played together until that moment, but they immediately clicked.
It was as if they were looking forward to an event bringing them together.

Making music with Tony is always fun and an adventure.
He is a world wide renown musician, but interacting with him leaves you with the feeling you grew up together.
You get a cheerful and funny atmosphere, and when it comes to music, it's simply magical.

Vassil is a musician with a very rich background (rock, funk, pop, hip-hop).
While living and studying in Amsterdam he also played jazz with various musicians.
Like Antoni, his playing takes you on a wonderful journey, which we consider the purpose of art.

I believe the album turned out being filled with great music, which I am happy to share with you all.

I am hoping that you will feel the same pleasure listening to our music as we ourselves experienced in the process of making it.
We look forward to our encounters sharing a intimate musical emotion.
